Taste the wines of Alsace at the producers
In the heart of the Wine Route, a few kilometres from Colmar, the capital of Alsace wines, the wine-producing villages of the Kaysersberg valley are home to numerous wine cellars, essentially family estates that have perpetuated the tradition of vine growing from generation to generation.
Dare to meet our winegrowers: they will share with you their history, their philosophy and the secrets of making Alsace wines with pleasure and passion!
Whether you are an amateur or a novice, it doesn’t matter! The winegrower will welcome you in his cellar for a wine tasting, sometimes even for a visit of his vineyard, to make you discover his job.
We advise you to book your visit or tasting at the winegrower’s, especially during the harvest period (September-October), as he may not be permanently on site but rather working in the vineyards.
Independent winegrowers of Alsace
Do you know what an independent winegrower is? In Alsace you will find many of them! The independent winegrower cultivates his vineyard, raises and markets his wine himself.
He takes care of the whole production from the vineyard to the reception of his customers and the sale of his wine. The Synvira, Syndicat des Vignerons Indépendants, gathers these winegrowers around a charter of commitment which guarantees the quality of their work.
