Cycling tour - The balconies of the vineyard to Munster
A tour of the vineyards through the region’s traditional villages.
Setting off from Kaysersberg, head towards Ammerschwihr, home to the Kafferkopf Grand Cru. Then on to Katzenthal and its castle with its square keep. As you head towards Turckheim, you will see the silhouette of the twisted bell tower of Niedermorschwihr church on your right. After Turckheim, the loop continues through fields and meadows towards Ingersheim, then on to Sigolsheim and its imposing Romanesque church. Follow the signs back to Kaysersberg, where you can see the town walls.
The route can be extended through the Munster Valley, with its varied and enchanting landscapes, where you can visit the cheese museum and the Albert Schweitzer Museum in Gunsbach. If you wish to explore the charming little town of Munster, take the cycle path that runs alongside the railway line.
The return journey to Turkheim can be made either via the cycle path or via the road that passes through the villages of the Munster Valley.
