Cycling tour - Vineyards and castles
A journey of discovery through the jewels of the vineyards, offering magnificent panoramic views where vineyards, mountains and forests intertwine. A route featuring some steep climbs and lovely stretches where you can leisurely admire an enchanting landscape dotted with imposing castles.
From the centre of Kaysersberg, follow the cycle path towards Kientzheim, then on to Ribeauvillé via Riquewihr. A route through the vineyards and picturesque wine-growing villages. After exploring the cobbled streets of Riquewihr, continue on to the three castles of Ribeauvillé and its charming medieval town, well worth a visit. From Ribeauvillé, continue towards the village of Bergheim, surrounded by its 14th-century ramparts, which is well worth a visit. The return journey follows the Roman road, a route already used in ancient times to avoid the flooding of the Rhine. Head towards Kaysersberg via Benwihr, with breathtaking views of the grand cru terroir and the vineyards of Alsace.
