Ultra-trail des chevaliers by UTMB
From the heights of the Vosges massif, near Lac Blanc, you'll soar to an altitude of over 1,100 meters. The route will first take you to the Tour du Faudé, an emblematic sentinel, before moving on to the ascent of Le Brezouard, in a more intimate atmosphere.
The route continues along the ridges, where you'll progress between deep forests, hanging clearings and grandiose panoramas over the Alsace plain. Passage through Aubure, Alsace's highest village, then leads to the emblematic Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, before beginning the descent to the foothills.
Further on, the "L'Alps", the highest village in Alsace, is the starting point of the route.
Further on, the route skirts the ruins of iconic castles - Landsberg and Bernstein - perched high above forests and vineyards. These majestic sites offer spectacular views of the Alsatian plain, the Black Forest and, on a clear day, the Alps.
The route takes you through the Alsatian countryside, where you'll be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Alps.
The traverse finally ends at the foot of the ramparts of Obernai, which you'll reach at the end of an unforgettable journey combining altitude, heritage and wild nature.
