Winery Jean-Baptiste Adam
Located on the famous Alsace Wine Route, in Ammerschwihr, our winery was founded in 1614. Since then, fifteen generations of passionate winegrowers have succeeded one another, ensuring that this unique heritage lives on. Our cellars are home to majestic, century-old tuns that bear witness to the passage of time and to our expertise. Combining tradition and modern technology, we do our utmost to produce wines of exceptional quality.
For several years now, our vines have been cultivated biodynamically, and we are proudly certified organic (AB) and Demeter. Our wines include our emblematic Grand Cru Kaefferkopf d'Ammerschwihr.
For more than four centuries, the Jean-Baptiste Adam family has put its heart and soul into growing vines and making wine. Few winegrowing families can boast such longevity, and this unshakeable passion for wine translates into a deep love of the craft. Driven by a perpetual quest for perfection, Maison Adam has never ceased to evolve, adopting organic and biodynamic farming in 2004, marking a new stage in its history.
Today, Jean-Baptiste Adam is more than just a name. He is a key figure in the history of Alsace winegrowing. Our wines, like the prestigious Kaefferkopf, contain more than just aromas and flavours: they are the fruit of 400 years of know-how handed down from generation to generation.
