Legend has it that it was Lazare de Schwendi who brought back the famous Tokay, now called Pinot Gris, from a trip to Hungary! But who was he? Follow the guide on the footsteps of this illustrious character.
Lazare de Schwendi (1522-1584) had a passion for the cultivation of vines and provided invaluable services to the winegrowers of his seigneuries. Let's discover this fascinating "hero" of Kientzheim during a tour between town and vineyards which will take us to the courtyard of his castle.
