Exhibition - Ceramics of Florence Bottazzi

An exhibition of a singularly eclectic mix of creations from the three kingdoms: mineral, animal and plant.

For this 4th year, Florence BOTTAZZI, a ceramist and visual artist, presents a small cabinet of curiosities from her own particular world. Ceramics are combined with a variety of materials, and each piece is designed to take you by surprise.

Another curiosity is this new collection of bowls. The clays she gathers from her travels and encounters give each piece a unique character. Florence pays particular attention to gesture, breath and the memory of the earth, its imprints and its living expression. In the pace of her movements, she conveys the particular singularity of this encounter between the earth and the individual, the affects, the breath and the resonance of the active link, which comes as much from the earth as from the person who shapes it.

Paying particular attention to the art of the bowl, she brings out an authentic resonance of raw traces at the heart of each of her pieces.
