Himalayan handicraft

The SolHimal association is organising an exhibition and sale of Himalayan crafts in Kaysersberg.
SolHimal is a non-profit association based in Alsace Lorraine, founded in April 1988 to provide support to Tibetan refugees, Tibetan communities in Nepal and the Nepalese people.
It works through the sponsorship of children, students, religious figures and elderly people, as well as through development projects related to food sovereignty, such as the construction of greenhouses and the establishment of orchards in remote areas of Nepal.
This exhibition will allow visitors to discover a wide variety of original items made by Tibetan and Nepalese artisans. Buddhist objects, thangkas, cushions, hand-knotted pure wool carpets, cashmere scarves, Himalayan teas, natural incense, jewellery, bags, rice paper items, Himalayan clothing, singing bowls...
It is also an opportunity to learn about our association and meet its volunteers and sponsors.
The proceeds from sales will go towards our greenhouse construction project in the Dolpo region of Nepal, enabling 100 families to grow their own vegetables.
