Come and discover the battlefield of the First World War! Situated at 1220 metres above sea level, the summit is a remarkable observatory.
The tête des Faux is a real battlefield of 1914-1918 classified as a historical monument. Its name comes from the beech forest that used to cover it.
In August 1914, German observers settled there and directed artillery fire at the end of November, destroying the French army command camp. These are real war scars that can be seen there, such as numerous barbed wires at the top.
