Hiking tour - tour of the small and large Hohnack
This figure-of-eight tour is ideal for all levels of ability and is ideal for children. The first step is to discover the summit of the Grand Hohnack in a pine forest. At the top, there is a field of rocks, each more mysterious than the next. We challenge you to find the so-called "fairy vats", recognisable by the cavities in the rock.
Then return to your starting point. This tour is a good idea as it gives you the choice of continuing the hike or postponing the rest of the route to another time.
For the second stage, go to the 12th century. The route takes you to the Hohnack castle, which is now maintained by volunteers. At an altitude of 927m, the remains allow you to enjoy a 360° view. Please note that the entrance to the castle is not always accessible.
Our favourites of the hike:
- the stone labyrinth of the Grand Hohnack
- the remains of the Hohnack castle
- enjoy the panoramic view from the castle
