The World Game Pie Championship is coming to Kaysersberg!
On 18 November, Le Chambard in Kaysersberg will host the World Game Pie Championship, an event celebrating culinary excellence and the expertise of chefs and artisans from around the world.
Initiated by Olivier Nasti, Éric Briffard and Fabien Pairon, this competition highlights an iconic dish of French gastronomy: the Pithiviers. It is a refined version of the game pie.
The eight finalists, selected from among international Michelin-starred chefs, Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and passionate artisans, will compete in a real-life challenge in the kitchens of Le Chambard. Each will have to make two pies, testing their technique, creativity and organisation.
The aim of this championship is to highlight the alchemy between the raw product and the chef’s expertise in transforming it into a work of art.
