Heritage days
As part of the Heritage Days, the Fabrique Council of the parish of Saint-Martin d'Ammerschwihr and the Friends of the Chapels offer a guided tour of the church of Ammerschwihr on the theme: the Klem furniture in the church and the altarpiece in the heart of the church.
The altar of the Virgin, the confessionals, the neo-gothic pulpit of 1888, the seats and the altars, the benches of the church are the work of the Colmarien Théophile Klem (1849-1923) who did not have time to realize the project of the baptismal font (the drawings exist). The altarpiece in the choir of the church in 1936 is the work of Valentin Jaeg, the artist who also created the large statue of the Galtz in Trois-Epis, the Alsatian "Corcovado".
