Geological trail
The valley of Kaysersberg, located on the spurs of the Hautes Vosges, is characterized by its great diversity of landscape, which result from a rough geological history.
In 25 km, from the hills of the vineyard to the peak of the Vosges, the rocks make it possible to recount more than 500 million years in the history of the area: the formation of the hercynian chain, which extended from the Atlantic to the Urals, and the collapse of the Rhine ditch.
