With its castle where one tastes the best vintages in Alsace Wines: Riesling, Muscatel, Gewurztraminer, and especially Pinot Gris imported by the famous Schwendi, Kientzheim has been able to keep prestigious memories from the past: outer walls with their towers, the chapel of Notre Dame des Pleurs, the tombstones of the barons de Schwendi.

- The castle of the 15th century currently sheltering the Saint Etienne brotherhood.
The Saint Etienne brotherhood, whose origins go back to the 14th century, regroups all the friends of Alsace wines and gastronomy. With access to different ranks following wine tests, the fellow-members and female colleagues are chaired by the Grand Master. The brotherhood is closely associated with the majority of prestigious events in favour of the wines of Alsace and each year four great solemn chapters holds: the chapter of the vine in flower (second Saturday of June), the summer chapter (last Saturday of June), the hunting chapter (first Saturday of September), the grape harvest chapter (third Saturday of September).
